POVAMA
stands for Persint OpenGL Visualisation for ATLAS Muon Analysis. The source code is available free of
charge under the Free Software GPL license. This project was developed by Cédric
Baudry during his intership
at CEA for the engineering school UTC.
The
code is written entirely in C/C++ with OpenGL based libraries (gl, glu) for 3D. The interface
is implemented with Qt GPL version.
Careful attention is paid to performance related issues as the initial goal
of POVAMA is to provide a simple and efficient application to scientists
dealing with 3D representation of the LHC.
Download
here the 3D files needed to run povama: FOG (Facet Object Geometry)
A brief summary of its main features:
- Multi plateform application Linux, Windows.
- Surface tesselation needed to display non convex polygons
with holes.
- Object retrieving
from screen coordinates (allows object picking).
- Intuitive and
convivial interface which suits with your favourite theme.
- Highly
customizable parameters allowed by a configuration file.
- Multiple document interface (MDI) allowing multiple views
simultaneously.
The
screenshots will give
you an idea of what POVAMA can do. You can read the reference
manual for more information.
Help
